The Kings School Partnerships

Breakfasting Like Kings!

Every morning during term time a dedicated team of  King’s school student volunteers visit St John’s CEP School to help with their breakfast club. Each volunteer is allocated a day and three of them visit each morning eating with the children, helping them to wash up and then reading and playing quiet games with them before the school day starts.

As our students enjoy breakfast at St John’s we invited the St John’s Breakfast Clubbers to have breakfast at King’s and were delighted to welcome a group of 15 excited St John’s pupils and 4 members of staff to breakfast at The King’s School one morning this week.

The children were thrilled to see where their friends from Kings have their breakfast and were wowed by the amazing choice. There were lots of plates full of bacon and eggs and bowls full of cereal which were soon emptied as they sat and chatted to the King’s volunteers. Each child was given a wooden egg cup to decorate at breakfast club during the coming weeks and left discussing new breakfast options with their breakfast club staff on their walk back to school.

We are already planning the next date for another St John’s breakfast at King’s.
